Tonight was another fun one at Victory. We started off with an ice breaker where everyone wrote down 3 of their fears anonymously, then Caleb read them out loud. Part of the point of the ice breaker was to remind us that God is powerful and we should fear Him, though not in the same way as say, a spider.
After the ice breaker, Caleb asked for prayer requests and prayed. His nugget, the next piece on our 9-piece nugget meal, was next on the agenda. Tonight he talked about peace. One of his big points was to try to keep peace. He referred to the quote “Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words” to enforce his point.
Praise & worship was next on tonight’s schedule. We sang Here Is Our King and From The Inside Out. After that, Caleb prayed.
Next came a round of Victory Youth Water Balloon Dodgeball. We went outside and split into teams to play. Fortunately we got a few rounds in (and used all the balloons) before the rain started.
After that we came back inside and did some “Would You Rather…?” questions and chatted for the reminder of the night. Caleb prayed & realized us about 10 minutes early. A second micro-nugget popped up in our conversation. Caleb reminded us to be sure that we have good friends that share your beliefs.
Next Friday night, August 13th, is our End of Summer / Back to School / Goodbye party. It starts at 6:00 PM and will be in the Benders’ backyard.
Have an awesome week!
