Happy See You At The Pole Day! If you’re reading this, we hope you know what See You At The Pole is and that you participated at your school’s flagpole this morning!

Anyway, tonight started off with a bit of chat time followed by a game. We’ve played it before, but the object of the game was not to get your balloon (that is tied around your ankle) popped. It was quite interesting, with Tim being crowned the winner. After that, we spent a few more minutes chatting then moved into worship.

Tonight’s songs were “Happy Day” by Tim Hughes, “Forever Reign” by Kristian Stanfill, and “10,000 Reasons” by Matt Redman. Following worship, Anna prayed and we moved onto announcements. See the end of this blog post for that information.

Then, we spent most of the rest of the night watching this video, a testimony from a girl with an unknown disease that causes her not to be able to gain weight.

At the end of the video, Anna made a few closing remarks about how God has a plan for each one of us and He can (and will) use us if we’ll let Him.

  • Chicken BBQ – The church is hosting a chicken BBQ this Saturday. If you can be here to help out, please arrive at 10:00 AM.
  • Tabernacle – We’re taking some time on Sunday mornings (during Sunday School) to learn about the Tabernacle. Be sure to join us as we learn more about it.
  • New Series – We’re starting a new “series” (of sorts) on Wednesday nights next week. It’s based off the poster on the youth room door and will take a look at some of the popular Bible characters who God used even though they had their flaws. Join us next week to find out more!
  • SYATP History – A few of you asked on Sunday, so I looked up the history of See You At The Pole and put up a post here on our website about it. Click here to check that out.
