- James 1:13-15
- Evaluate your behavior around friends and other people at school. Is much of your conversation and activity focused around sex? If so, think of ways to change this pattern. How could your speech reflect modesty and maturity? When you’re with friends, avoid conversations that discuss sex in unhealthy, immature ways. Instead, invite these friends to events and places where the conversation will be more wholesome, such as youth group or Sunday School.
- Go through your closet and determine whether or not your clothes are modest. If you own items that reveal too much skin or enhance body parts others shouldn’t stare at, replace them with more modest attire. If you’re genuinely unsure about an outfit, ask a trusted adult, such as your Sunday School teacher, for opinions and advice. Be open to having others disagree with your preferences.
