Hello, Emerge! Tonight began with our usual chat time. After that, we moved into tonight’s worship. We sang “Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies)” by Chris Tomlin, “I Am Not the Same” by Unhindered, “Our God” by Chris Tomlin, and “The Stand” by Kristian Stanfill. Following worship, I prayed and we moved on.

Next came a few announcements. That information is available at the end of tonight’s post. Once they were done, we moved into tonight’s mini message, talking about how Joseph was abused. Basically, Joseph’s brothers weren’t very fond of him because he was the favorite child. After a turn of events, Joseph was sold to Potiphar and became his assistant. God continued to be with Joseph, and help him through the tough stuff he was going through. Eventually, Potiphar’s wife tried to pressure Joseph into sleeping with her, and even though Joseph rejected her, he still got into trouble when he accidentally left his robe in her room after running from her. He ended up in jail, and even there God still continued to use him for great things. If you want to read the full story, it can be found in Genesis 37 and Genesis 39. We’ll continue talking about Joseph’s life next week.

After the message, we played a game called “Heads Up” where one person had to guess what phrase was behind them on the screen as the rest of the group acted it out and gave them clues. It was funny to see how some of the clues were interpreted.

That’d be all for tonight. Have an awesome week!
