What’s up Emerge? Happy Wednesday! Chat time was tonight’s first order of business, followed by a few announcements from Heather and Corey.

  • Trunk-or-Treat – Reminder that there is no regular service next week, but we’ll be having a “teen hangout” during the church’s Trunk-or-Treat. That runs from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. (Note the earlier start time)
  • Worship Night – We’re planning to have another worship night next Friday, November 2nd. This will depend on rather more people sign up by this Sunday. If we do decide to postpone, you’ll see those notifications here.
  • If you haven’t already, be sure to join our new Facebook group. In addition to the leaders posting information for you, you can also post questions/photos/etc. If you have any questions, let Brad know.

After the announcements, we took some time to discuss prayer requests, then moved into worship. Tonight’s selections were “I Am Not the Same” by Unhindered and “Jesus Paid It All” by Kristian Stanfill. After worship, Corey prayed, covering tonight’s requests.

Then, we watched tonight’s episode of the Gospel Journey. As you can see from the image attached to this post, tonight dealt with salvation, and how everyone who trusts in Jesus will have eternal life. Following that, we had our discussion time which actually was a bit different. Tonight we looked at answers to a few questions that were presented by you (aka the teens). Here’s one verse that we used to discuss one of those questions:

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

(Matthew 7:21-23 NIV)

At the end of the night, Corey closed in prayer.
