Before we get started, we’d like to take a moment to thank Paul for teaching our Sunday School class over the past few years. Beginning next Sunday, I (Brad) will be taking over the Sunday School class. We hope to see you then!

Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:1 NIV)

  • Matthew 10:2-4
  • Luke 5:27,28
  • Luke 9:14-17
  • John 1:41, 42, 47, 48
  • John 6:5-7; 11:15, 16
  • Ephesians 2:19-22

  • Lend a helping hand to someone you know who could use it. Offer to watch a neighbor’s kids, get groceries, do chores, mow the lawn, cook, or read to them on a regular basis. Set up a schedule with that person and do it for free. Then follow through on your commitment.
  • Join the Communion team at church. Volunteer to setup and clean up whenever your church celebrates Communion for the rest of the school year. Don’t make a big deal of it to your friends, just show up and do it.

  • What is your definition of success? What is Jesus’ definition?
  • Is being famous or noticed important to being successful? Explain.
