Yeah, the series of weird recap titles continues…I’ll explain later!

Anyway, tonight started with hang out time, followed by a few announcements.

  • Youth Sunday – We’ll have some time in the service this Sunday to discuss youth convention, etc. Contact a leader w/ any questions…
  • “Finding Faith” Movie Night – Next Tuesday, we’ll be heading to Littlestown to see the movie “Finding Faith.” See the sheets that were sent home with teens tonight for complete details. We’ll need to know if you’re attending by this Sunday, April 7th.
  • #YC13 Peoples…listen up! A few things…first…please take a few moments to complete the survey found here. It’ll help to make future conventions better. Also, you can check out the pictures that PennDel Youth posted on their Facebook page. Click here.

Following the announcements, we moved into a time of praise & worship. Tonight’s songs were “Holding Nothing Back” by Jesus Culture, “Our God” by Chris Tomlin, and “10.000 Reasons” by Matt Redman. Following worship, Corey prayed and we moved into tonight’s message, which began with the following video.

After the video we discussed it a bit, and decided that we wouldn’t recommend trying that (as it says as the beginning), hence tonight’s random title. After discussing the video, we talked about Daniel & the lion’s den, in which Daniel did almost the same thing as the guy in the video, but wasn’t harmed. Tonight’s main scripture came from Daniel 6:18-28. Here is an excerpt from that…

21 Daniel answered, “May the king live forever! 22 My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.”

23 The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

24 At the king’s command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.

The other verse from tonight’s lesson was 2 Thessalonians 3:3. Feel free to look that one up as well!

After the lesson, we spent the remainder of the night looking through some convention pictures and videos. Click here to see the video we watched. Our pics will be up at later this week (hopefully…)
