So don’t beat your friends over the head with it!
Anyway, tonight started out with our chat time, followed by worship. Tonight’s songs were “Your Grace Is Enough” by Chris Tomlin, “Forever Reign” by Kristian Stanfill, “10,000 Reasons” by Matt Redman, and “The Stand” by Kristian Stanfill. Following worship, Anna prayed & we moved onto tonight’s mini message.
We once again continued our series based on our poster on the door…”Do You Seriously Think God Can’t Use You?” Tonight Anna talked about how Jacob was a liar. Basically, as the story goes, Isaac (Jacob’s dad) sent Esau (Jacob’s older bro) out to find him food so he could give him his blessing since he was going to die soon. Well, Rebekah (Isaac’s wife) overhead Isaac telling Esau that and decided to have Jacob get him the food & trick him so that he would get the blessing. Once the food was prepared, Jacob put on a disguise of sorts so that he’d seem more like his brother and took it into him. When Isaac asked, Jacob lied & said that he was Esau. After all this, Jacob was used by God in many powerful ways. As we’re talking about in Sunday School, he was actually the father of the 12 tribes that surround the Tabernacle.
After the message, we moved onto a bit of a celebration since tonight was my birthday. We enjoyed some cake & ice cream and had a good time of fellowship. We ended the night with a game where each person would pull a slip of paper out of a bag that had a question or the word “Winner” on it. Everyone took turns answering the questions, which was pretty fun.
Also, NO MORE ONE DIRECTION! 🙂
Anyway, that’s going to be it for tonight’s post. Have a great week & we’ll see you Sunday!
