Happy Wednesday!

Tonight started out with our usual hang out time. During this time, we watched a few Worth Dying For music videos from their new album. (GO BUY IT ON iTUNES!) Then, we moved into worship. Tonight’s songs were Never Look Back, My Savior My God, Desert Song, and Glorify. After worship, Anna prayed.

We then watched the Love Riot music video so that everyone could see it. After that came the announcements. If you’re selling candy bars, keep at it and return the money to Anna ASAP. Reminder that convention is April 5-7 featuring Worth Dying For as the band and Reggie Dabbs as the speaker. During convention, we’d like to have a T-shirt day when we all wear Emerge T-shirts. If you haven’t ordered one, the orders are due by Sunday 2/26. Check out http://emergeyouth.spreadshirt.com for colors, sizing, etc. Reminder that our spaghetti dinner is THIS SUNDAY following the church service. Please be here at 9:30 AM (Sunday School time) to help us set up and get ready to go.

If you have a worship request, you can email it to me at brad@emergeyouth.org or text it to me. I’m not going to post my number here, but you can ask for it if you need it on a Wednesday night or Sunday. Then, I asked Corey to announce our idea for a youth/young couples worship night. Since many of you were interested, we’re going to plan it and let you know when we plan to have it.

After the announcements, Anna went through some movie trivia questions with the group. It was entertaining to see the answers yelled out. We then watched the first clip of the night called “Why I Hate Religion but Love Jesus.” After the video came Anna’s mini message. She talked about the difference between religion and Christianity by pulling various passages out of the first video. Then, we watched a second video entitled “Life in 6 Words – The G-O-S-P-E-L.” After that video, Anna went through a few final thoughts, then prayed to end the mini message. Both videos can be found at the end of this post.

We finished off the night by heading down to the kitchen to enjoy some ice cream and fellowship time.

That was all for this week. See you SUNDAY for the spaghetti dinner. Please be at church at 9:30 AM (Sunday School time) so we can start getting everything set up.
